MELISSA ALCAZAR

Melissa "Missy" Alcazar is a true renaissance woman with a recently acclaimed nomination for Best Singer Songwriter at the 2019 San Diego Music Awards.  She's been painting for over 20 years and only recently has she decided to pursue it as a career.  Performing is her livelihood with experience as a featured concert pianist at San Diego Symphony's Copley Hall, REDCAT in Walt Disney Concert Hall, Wild Beast Pavillion & University of the Philppines Abelardo Hall.  Earning her Master Degree in Music for piano performance heavily influences her artwork.  Most of her pieces are heavily involved with graphic notation from post-20th century experimental music.    Most of her artwork is created for musicians to perform as graphically notated in a music composition.  For more up to date info on her artwork follow her art page @melissaalcazarart
